About this product

Medline Ultrasorbs AP Drypads are disposable underpads with a super absorbent polymer core that pulls moisture away from the skin and locks it in. The backsheet is waterproof but air permeable, which is what sets them apart from standard bluey pads: they can sit on a low air loss or alternating pressure mattress without blocking airflow. The soft top layer reduces friction and shear when the client is repositioned.

Sizes available are 250 x 410 mm, 510 x 910 mm, 610 x 910 mm, 760 x 910 mm and 790 x 910 mm, sold by the box. The pads are not made with natural rubber latex.

Key features

  • Super absorbent polymer core
  • Air-permeable, waterproof backsheet for use on low air loss mattresses
  • Soft top layer to reduce friction against skin
  • Five sizes from 250 x 410 mm to 790 x 910 mm
  • Not made with natural rubber latex
  • Single use, disposable

Who it suits

A client with incontinence who is nursed on a pressure care mattress, where a standard plastic-backed pad would defeat the mattress. Also a client at risk of skin breakdown where a dry, low-friction surface matters. For a client who is continent and mobile, a washable bed pad is cheaper over time.

Good to know

  • Sold by the box; box quantity varies by size, ask us when ordering
  • Do not use for lifting or repositioning unless the pad is rated for it
  • Choose the 760 or 790 x 910 mm size for full bed width coverage
