The NXT Optima is a contoured wheelchair back support built on a lightweight aluminium shell. The shell is filled with dual density foam and gel infused visco material, which helps manage heat build up against the back over a long sitting day.
This version has the standard 3 inch (7.6 cm) contour. That depth is enough to hold the trunk and discourage lateral lean, without the containment of the deep 5.5 to 7 inch option. It suits clients who are reasonably stable in sitting but drift over a day.
The shell is shaped with a scapula cut out so the shoulders stay free for propulsion, and a pelvic cut out so the pelvis can sit back into the support rather than being pushed forward. The cover is smartx3D antimicrobial polyester, which wicks moisture.

QuickFit mounting lets you change height, depth, angle and rotation with the client seated, with up to 25 degrees of anterior or posterior angle. Two point micro and four point hardware are also available.
