The Oxford Deluxe Standing sling is a padded loop-attachment sling for active standing transfers on an Oxford stand aid. It wraps around the client’s back and under the arms, with a non-slip inner section that stops it riding up as the client comes to standing, and a click-together waist strap that holds it in place. Colour-coded loops give three attachment positions and the safe working load is 200 kg.
The polyester sling washes at up to 85 degrees and dries on low heat or in air. Modesty loops keep the legs together during the lift and the webbing strap ends are covered so they do not rub the skin. Available in small, medium, large and extra large.

Who it suits
A client who can take part in a transfer, bear weight through at least one leg and hold on for a short stand, for example a client with a hip fracture in rehabilitation or a client with MS who needs help to the toilet and can stay seated in the sling on the toilet. It is an active sling and depends on the client being able to grip and push through the legs. A client who cannot weight bear or has uncontrolled trunk movement needs a full body sling on a passive hoist instead.
