The R82 Heron Hip Supports are a pair of padded side supports that bolt to the seat of the R82 Heron shower and toilet chair. The set includes a selection of spacer blocks and bolts, so the effective seat width can be set anywhere from 350 to 490 mm in 10 mm steps, down from the Heron’s standard 550 mm. The client sits centred over the toilet aperture with the pelvis held from both sides.
The supports fit the Heron seat only. Each support is about 100 mm high and 210 mm wide. For seat widths under 350 mm, add the long bolts and extra spacer kit (880508-02LB).

Who it suits
A child or small adult on a Heron who slides sideways on the wide seat or needs lateral pelvic support to sit upright while showering or toileting. If the client needs support at the trunk rather than the hips, look at the Heron trunk supports or a harness instead, and if the seat width needs to go below 350 mm, add the long bolt kit.
