The Showerbuddy SB1 is a shower transfer system for bathrooms with a hobbed shower or a bath that cannot be changed. The client transfers once onto the padded commode chair at the bed or wheelchair, then the chair rolls along a bridge over the hob or bath edge and into the shower, where the rotating base turns it 360 degrees. There is no second transfer and no need to lift the client over the step. Safe working load is 160 kg and seat height adjusts from 550 mm to 680 mm.
The same chair rolls over most standard toilets, and a commode pan and lid are supplied. The frame is 6061 T6 aluminium with grade 304 stainless steel fittings, made for wet rooms.

Who it suits
A client who needs full or partial assistance to shower and lives in a home, unit or rental where a bathroom modification is not possible or not wanted. Support coordinators often look at the SB1 as an alternative to a level access shower build, and it suits clients waiting on modifications who need to shower safely in the meantime.
