The Silvalea Silva Balance Sling is a full body sling with full head support, built with counterbalance straps so an active client can move during the lift without tipping the sling. Silvalea designed it for clients who experience extreme extensor patterns, where a standard sling can let the hips slide forward. Divided legs and a waist support are fitted as standard, and the safe working load in Silva-Superfine Plus fabric is 220 kg.
Silva-Superfine Plus is a soft spacer fabric with two-way stretch and soft binding, suitable for bathing. Fixed colour-coded loop tapes are fitted to the outer leg tapes. Wash at up to 71 degrees Celsius and tumble dry on low heat, maximum 50 degrees. Thrive stocks XX-Small, X-Small, Small and Medium.

Who it suits
A child or adult with cerebral palsy or another condition producing strong extensor thrust, who pushes into extension when lifted and is hard to hold in a seated shape in a standard sling. It also suits an active client who wants to move their arms and shift position during a transfer. For a passive client with no extensor pattern, a standard Fastfit or In-Situ sling is a simpler fit.
