The Symmetrikit SymmSlyde combines a slide sheet and a sleep positioning system in one. The base is a hook and loop receptor sheet fitted over the mattress, with an Airmantle pressure-redistributing layer and a washable CoolOver top sheet. A Slyde tube on the top lets a carer slide the client up or across the bed, or log roll them, without lifting; once the client is positioned, SymmetriSleep brackets and Lowzone foam cushions attach to the sheet and lock the slide function so the posture holds through the night. The CoolOver top sheet is a 3D spacer fabric that lets heat and moisture escape, and the Airmantle wipes clean. The system suits profiling beds and pressure care mattresses.

Who it suits
A client with a neurological condition, high or low tone, or a fixed asymmetry who needs supported lying to protect hip and spine alignment overnight, and whose carers currently struggle to reposition them. It suits a two-carer or single-carer home where turning is done several times a night. If the client only needs turning and not postural support, a standard slide sheet is enough; if they only need support and can be repositioned by hand, the SymmetriSleep system without the slide layer is the simpler option.
