The WendyLett Fitted Base Sheet is a bottom sheet that stays on the bed and does the work of a slide sheet. The centre section is a smooth satin weave that lets the client turn or be turned sideways, along the direction of the stripes, while the anti-slip panels on both sides stop them sliding down or off the mattress. It fits over the mattress with elastic like a normal fitted sheet and has a safe working load of 300 kg.
The fabric is a cotton and polyester mix that washes at 60 to 90 degrees and can be tumble dried. Available in 90, 105, 120 and 140 cm widths, all 200 cm long. Add a WendyLett 2Way or 4Way top sheet for sideways and up-the-bed repositioning.

Who it suits
A client who needs help turning in bed and is at risk of friction and shear damage to the skin, and a carer or family member who is doing that turning several times a day or night. It stays on the bed, so there is nothing to fit and remove each time. If the client also needs to be moved up the bed, pair it with the WendyLett 4Way top sheet. For a one-off transfer rather than routine repositioning, a standard tubular slide sheet is the cheaper option.
