The K Care Self Propelled Shower Commode is a stainless steel mobile commode that the user can wheel themselves over the toilet and into the shower. It comes in two layouts: front self-propel (KA120SF), where the large wheels sit under the user’s hands at the front, and rear self-propel (KA120SR), the more conventional wheelchair layout. Seat width is 445 mm, seat depth 430 mm, seat height 590 mm, and the safe working load is 120 kg.
The frame is 615 mm wide and 930 mm long, with a 420 mm high backrest. Arms swing up for side transfers, footrests swing away and adjust for height, and the seat lifts out for cleaning. K Care changeable seats fit, so a padded or a smaller aperture seat can be substituted.

Who it suits
A client who has the arm strength and sitting balance to propel themselves in the bathroom, for example a person with paraplegia or a lower limb amputation, and who needs one chair for toileting and showering. Front propel suits a client who cannot reach behind and down to a rear wheel, or a bathroom where the rear wheels would foul the toilet cistern. A client who is always pushed by a carer is better served by an attendant propelled commode, which is narrower and lighter.
